Help with Platterday
Platterday helps you capture recipes, plan meals for the week, and turn that plan into one grocery list.
Frequently asked questions
What is Platterday?
Platterday is a local-first recipe planner for iPhone and iPad. Save recipes, arrange them across a week, and build a consolidated grocery list with duplicate ingredients combined.
Do I need an account?
No. Platterday has no Platterday account or developer-operated backend. Your recipes, plans, grocery lists, and settings stay on your device unless you choose to export or back them up to another destination.
Why did a recipe import fail?
Recipe imports depend on the source website. The site must be available and allow the request, and its page structure may need to contain information Platterday can recognize. Websites can change their pages, block requests, or require access that the app cannot provide. You can still enter a recipe manually when an import does not work.
How do backups and exports work?
Backups and exports are user-chosen files. You select where to save an export, and you select which file to import. A password-protected backup uses a password you choose; Platterday does not store that password. Restoring a backup changes local data only after you confirm.
How do purchases and Restore Purchases work?
Purchases, Redeem a Code, and Restore Purchases use Apple StoreKit. Apple handles payment, offer-code, and transaction processing, while Platterday checks the StoreKit result on your device to determine access.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete content in Platterday or delete the app and its local data. Deletion is local unless you exported or emailed data. Copies saved to Files, iCloud Drive, another file provider, or an email account must be deleted from that destination separately.
